Guidelines
The Scholarship Committee will, each spring, grant one Foreman Foundation Scholarship Fund in Memory of John Bruno, Jr. to a student who meets the following guidelines:
A. The student must be a graduating senior from Upper St. Clair High School.
B. The student plans to attend a four-year college or university to pursue a Bachelor's Degree.
C. The student will participate in a college- or university-sponsored sports or extra-curricular program.
D. The financial aid the student receives from sources other than this Scholarship Fund, combined with the Foreman Foundation Scholarship Fund in Memory of John Bruno, Jr., must not exceed one year's tuition and housing at that college or university.
E. The student must demonstrate the qualities of John Bruno, Jr. as student and friend to the faculty of Upper St. Clair High School and to the student body of Upper St. Clair High School.
F. The student must have obtained at least a 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 cumulative grade point average at Upper St. Clair High School.
G. The Foreman Foundation Scholarship Fund in Memory of John Bruno, Jr. is available to all Upper St. Clair High School students without regard to race, color, creed, sex, age or national origin.
H. The recipient must remain enrolled as a full-time student, maintain at least a 2.5 out of a possible 4.0 cumulative grade point average in his or her college or university courses the entire four years, and continue to participate in a college- or university-sponsored varsity sports or extra-curricular program. Failure to do so, with the exception of injury, will disqualify the recipient for all future annual scholarship payments.
I. During each of the 4 (four) years the recipient receives the scholarship, he/she must perform a minimum of 1 (one) activity to promote melanoma awareness.
