John is born in Jeannette, PA. He grew up in Upper St. Clair, a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA.
John earned letters in varsity baseball, basketball and football, where he was recognized as an All-Western Conference Wide
Receiver in 1980 and 1981 and All-WPIAL District Wide Receiver in 1981. |

Enrolled at Penn State University and was a walk-on member of Penn State's first
National Championship football team. |

John earned a scholarship as well as the starting punter position in the 1984-1986
seasons. He was honored as the All-East Punter in 1985 and 1986. John also received as All-American Honorable
Mention in 1986. |

His punting performance in the 1987 Fiesta Bowl helped secure the Nittany Lions'
second National Championship in the victory over the University of Miami, considered one of the finest kicking performances
ever in a national championship game. |

After football, John devoted his time and energy to his other passion - golf. Looking to combine
that passion with his Finance degree, John wanted to delvelop his own business. |
