Foreman Architects Engineers provides comprehensive internship programs that match the needs of the student as well as the company. The program involves orientation through Foreman University, a mid-term review and a final presentation by the student to a Foreman panel that outlines the experience received and provides lessons learned. Specific tasks that the interns will be involved in include contract document control (RFIs, submittals, etc.), contractor coordination on site, quantity take-off for estimates, schedule updating, daily logs and general support of site managers and project managers. Typically, interns are assigned to a specific project and work from that site; however home office related tasks can be incorporated into an intern’s experience. All new employees (including interns) of FAE participate in Foreman University. Foreman University is the Foreman Group’s formal training program and is designed to acclimate employees with the business practices, history and the technical aspects of the firm. Lectures, practical workshops, mock situations and exams are all part of the curriculum.
